Vintage Cheetah Topper

First off HAPPY NEW YEAR! Did you do anything special to ring in the New Year? We just stayed in with the kids but everyone got to stay up a bit later than usual.

I am really looking forward to 2014. I feel some changes are in the air but it is all for the best. I am sure all of it will unfold here in due time.

So this coat might be one of my all time favourite finds. I don't wear it all the time; it draws quite a few stares as Toronto is very much a sea of black in the winter. Still it is super warm and oh so fun.

I have learned that the best way to wear this coat is with a really simple outfit underneath. I have worn it over fancier, more complicated looks during Fashion Week before and it is like the outfit is competing with the coat.

I am loving the latest addition to the gold arm party on my wrist; the Bauble Bar chevron bracelet looks great on its own too. Plus gold and cheetah just works.

Funny story about this coat. I was wearing it one night during fashion week in October and I was approached by a PETA protester. I took one look at the pamphlet and turned around. I looked at her, handed her back the pamphlet and said "the coat isn't REAL!... and it is Vintage." I guess it had her fooled 😉
