Beach Caftans and Dresses ⋆ chic everywhere

I was out sitting with friends the other night and people kept talking about how the summer was almost over. But really we are only about half way through! Our kids don't go back to school until after the Labor Day long weekend. This means there is lots of time for pool and beach days and plenty of time for Beach Caftans and Dresses.

Green Stripe Kaftan - I love the look of this with the green stripes. Plus the fabric is light as air so it won't overheat to add this layer to go from the beach to the cottage or resort.
Blue Caftan - I love the embroidery detail on this option. The shape is similar to the first one but the overall look is more boho than preppy.
Black Kaftan - This one looks elegant doesn't it? I love the palm tree embroidery all over.
Striped cotton shirt dress - I find shirt dresses have so much versatility. You can wear it as a dress, cover up, unbutton it partially to wear over shorts or pants.
Long cotton shirt dress - This option with the longer sleeves I would totally roll up is a great option for versatility too. You could wear as a duster like in this post or belted as a dress for work, or wear it loose for the beach.
Linen Stripe shirt dress - This might be my favourite one because I love the red stripe on the blue linen. Plus it looks relaxed and breezy.

I think with the implementation of new rules in Italy against walking around bare chested and not wandering around in town in just your bathing suit means that having something like beach caftans and dresses to wear over top is more important than ever. I wouldn't be surprised if more tourist areas start to enforce the whole no shirt no shoes no service rules!
