Spring Want List; spring 2013 trends

I have done a few posts on trends for Spring 2013 (here and here). But when it comes right down to it I only have a few things that are on my must have list for Spring 2013.

Spring 2013 trends must haves

Dress 1, Dress 2, Jacket 1 (Isabel Marant/Sold Out), Jacket 2, Loafer 1, Loafer 2.

After reviewing a few of my casual summer posts from last year I have vowed to put on a dress more. They just look so much more put together compared to shorts. Yes going for walks and chafing legs don’t really work for me, but most of the time that isn’t going to be an issue. Besides at this stage in my life (and weight) I could probably do with wearing some shapewear (options here, here, here and here).

The dress section could have been super cluttered because there are alot of styles on my wish list in addition to the one from Anthropologie and Modcloth above. Like this kaftan style from Cynthia Vincent, a few from Free People (here and here), another from Anthropologie, from Gap and a few more from Modcloth (here and here). A few are not exactly what I am looking for in that the materials are a bit high maintenance (I want wash-n-wear cotton) but the prints are pretty amazing and non of them are too short that I couldn’t be at the park with my kids.

I think even more than the dresses I have been re-obsessing about a cropped quilted print jacket. Ever since this one seen on Coline sold out I have been lusting after something similar. And obviously I love an Isabel Marant look-a-like (the white Isabel Marant above is sold out). The Zara one above has to be tried on because sometimes what looks good on the website doesn’t translate in the store, but still it is looking like a pretty amazing option. Maison Scotch has a few others that are fab too (here and here). I am expecting this trend item to explode the closer to spring we get, which means I should hold off (but I probably won’t) until there are even more options.

Last but not least fun loafers. I fell in love with this slipper loafer style last spring because my feet and ballet flats just don’t get along. And I want to grab another pair this spring. I love the idea of a bold colour like the JCREW pair, but I really love the unique-ness of the Kilim version.
