Shopping in my Closet; stripes

I have decided that each week I shop in my closet I will have a theme. The themes will have some sort of association with what I would like to wear.

It's a way for me to figure out what is in my closet, what fits well, what doesn't and if there are things missing.

This first full week of February I am going to be wearing STRIPES.

As you can see I have an assortment. The blue striped tee you have already seen here. I go in phases where I try to find the perfect version of a particular item. Like the striped tee.

Stripes are tricky. They can work against you, making you look wider because they emphasize the horizontal. And if the stripe is too tight causing the stripe to look more like a zig zag then you have real issues.

I like to break up the stripes so that you only have a hint of what is underneath.

The fun part of this exercise is using the above t-shirts to create new outfits. You never know I might come up with something I will wear over and over.
