Whenever I get a new something in my wardrobe it becomes the most worn thing for a minute. Part of that is experimenting to find outfit formulas that work for that item.
So this Herringbone Slouch coat is the one that I have been reaching for most these days. And when I first styled it with a black fuzzy scarf but this dark plaid also works really well too.
I know according to some people I am probably committing a fashion crime because I am wearing skinny jeans here. But I really don’t like the way that wider leg jeans look paired with snow boots. I still think that with a big coat and snow boots having a slimmer leg makes more sense.
I usually take a break from plaids in January after overloading on wearing them through the Christmas season. This one here (super old) is one I do wear though because it doesn’t seem Christmasy at all and it adds a nice amount of colour to an otherwise pretty black dominant outfit.
These boots I have been looking at longingly for years. I started stalking them on resale sites but I found them here for a similar price to the resale sites for new.
