Online Consignment Alternative; An introduction to Shopping Trend Trunk

Trend Trunk is a new online marketplace that mixes shopping with social media style likes and sharing. It is also the first of its kind to allow you donate all or a portion of the money you make from selling the clothes you don’t wear anymore to the charity of your choice.

Browsing through Trend Trunk the experience is a bit like Pinterest for clothes. Or something like my Currently Obsessed account, but instead with preworn items.

I think the pull is that instead of splitting the profits with the consignment shop 50%/50%, Trend Trunk only takes 20% and they provide the shipping labels to make sending out your items to their new home super easy.

Fashion ranges from high-end items like YSL heels to mid range favourites from Club Monaco, Anthropologie and Zara.

Some post pictures of just the items they are looking to sell. Others pull out their best fashion blogger poses and show of the full potential of the skirt, shirt or dress.
