Halloween Costume from your Closet: SO 80's

halloween costume from your closet, 80s costumeToday I am sharing a fun collaboration with the beauty bloggers over at Elements of Fakery. We are sharing 3 Halloween looks that you can easily pull together from your closet. With the right hair and makeup the clothes we have just lying around can totally work for Halloween.

halloween from your closet, 80s costumeI actually forgot my leather jacket and had to borrow Camille's Vero Moda faux leather jacket to complete the look. My inspiration for this 80's costume was the Glam Metal bands (like Bon Jovi, Poison and Def Leppard). Big hair, high waisted jeans is so there. The lace top is a bit more Madonna and the make up is very Boy George but you get the idea.

halloween from your closet, 80s costumeTo get a better look at that exaggerated blue eye shadow and angular blush click on over to Elements of Fakery. This is likely the heaviest and craziest makeup you will see on me! But I think it helps sell the whole look. That and the teased hair, which looked way bigger in real life.

    1. I have heard that Halloween is much bigger in North America. Lots of costume parties and parents dress up to give out candy and take their kids trick or treating.

So much fun to feel like a kid again dressing up for Halloween 🙂
