Getting Undressed

This post could have alternatively been called what I wore to the One of a Kind Show Blogger Challenge but that would have been less provocative.

belted oversized coat

If you have been following me here and on Pinterest it has probably become obvious that this winters must have for me has been an oversized coat. This Pin of Emanuelle Alt didn’t help matters either.

So when I saw this uber affordable version I snapped it up. Now I wasn’t sure about ordering from Oasap.com. All of the reviews I read are from their blogger group and I haven’t heard much about them in a major publication or from one of the top-tier bloggers. But with discounts the jacket was $50, wool, lined and there was free shipping so I figured what do I have to lose.

I will admit I got a bit paranoid when it hit the month mark from when I ordered (not from when they said they shipped). Items are being shipped from Asia so it will take a while, plus the package got stuck in customs. All in all it took about 13 business days from when they said it would ship.

ordering from oasap.com

As for what you can find on Oasap.com, it is a bit of a mix. Think of it as an online version of Winners or TJMaxx. There is stuff I wouldn’t be caught dead in and other very fashion forward on trend items. I also believe that the store concept is similar to a offpriced retailer in that they sell ends of lines and off-season merchandise.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. I have to accept that 3/4 sleeves and the fact that it needs a belt will be a bit impractical in the middle of a Canadian Winter but still the coat looks gooood. #fashiongirlproblems.

peplum top

Now to get undressed! Underneath that coat was this cute peplum top. To be honest if you said I would be wearing peplum a week ago I would have laughed. It was one of those styles that I thought was cute on others but was a bit over played on style blogs. But then I tried on this top at Anthropologie and I was hooked. It was super flattering and not just another boring tee. SOLD!
