It may be hard to believe but it is going to be coat and scarf weather shortly. I mean yes we just had a heat wave this past week but we are heading into single digit weather and it is going to be a stark contrast. What I mean is without the gradual change in temperatures it is really going to feel cold.
Don’t get me wrong I am really ready for the temperatures to fall. 30 degrees in October isn’t right and it wasn’t that enjoyable either.
Mentally I am more ready for an outfit like I am showing in this post.
The coat is a twist on a classic pea coat (reviewed here). It is great for late fall. It is warm enough as a car coat in the middle of winter but I don’t find I reach for it as much at that time of year. I tend more towards a puffer or overcoat style wool jacket.
The scarf I have on is actually really thin wool scarf that is old Aritzia. What I like about this scarf is that it is just the amount of scarf I want for this time of year when it is chilly but not super cold. Something like this or this would be similar weight.
