4 Ways to tie a belted coat

The first way to tie the belt on your coat is to do a simple tie. It is my least favourite way to belt my coat because it isn’t very secure. If you are just running from the house to the car it is fine. But if you are doing any walking I find doing this simple tie will come undone pretty quickly.

The fourth way to tie your belted coat is my favourite. Its the bow! It does require that you have a long enough belt to tie it in a bow. You also have to tie it a certain way to get your bow to sit across your body not wonky.

It is a bit hard to see from this picture but what I am trying to show is that when you are tying the bow you want to bring the belt around from the bottom. If you wrap the belt around from the bottom before you create your second bow loop you will be able to have a pretty horizontal bow.
