If you are a Yorkdale fanatic you have probably been waiting in line since early this morning to get a chance to shop the new expansion wing and all the new shops. Or you have gotten a peek on BT.
For the rest of you who are waiting for the craziness to die down (so in January I guess?!) I can give you a sneak peek of what is in store.
The expansion is 145000 square feet of shopping goodness. There are more stores that you love like Anthropologie (3rd location in TO), Club Monaco, Ann Taylor (2nd TO location), and lululemon plus stores like Ted Baker and Kate Spade which are opening their first Canadian locations. Loft (the Ann Taylor sister store) also opened its first International shop at Yorkdale over in the old Mango location.
In addition some of the stores have stocked these new boutiques with clothing that has yet to hit the floors of any other of their stores. Loft had their Christmas collection which isn’t even on the website yet (including a pair of super fab sequin pants). Kate Spade also has their October, November and December collections on the floor. The December is more resort like and hasn’t hit the floors anywhere else yet.
It’s not just clothing in this wing either. There is a car showroom (Tesla Motors), restaurants (Davids Tea & Joey’s) and techie stores like the first Microsoft store plus Apples new location (opening soon).
The work isn’t done yet on the expansion. There are stores still to open like All Saints (HELLO!) plus others.
