Top 5 products for under eye circles

Ever since I had my daughter I have been struggling with my under eye area. The puffiness from parental sleep deprivation is REAL. And the dark circles that seemed to appear out of nowhere when I hit 30.

Prior to having kids I only really worried about my under eye bags on days I was hungover or with allergies. After kids it was an every day thing.

Of course when I was in the new mom phase I was too tired to really care too much about how I looked most of the time. But when you emerge from the new mom fog you start experimenting with eye creams and products that have lofty promises. This is a round up of the best of the best. The products that are actually working for me to eliminate and mask puffiness and dark circles. These are my Top 5 Products for Under Eye Circles. top 5 products for under eye circles

Top 5 Products for Under Eye Circles

  1. Deciem Niod Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate – This is the game changer product on this list. I have tried a few different eye creams over the life of this blog and most of the time I really couldn’t tell if they were working. This however I can see the difference withing 20 minutes. I often wake up with under eye puffiness. This erases it. I use one small drop under each eye and smooth it around and wait. When I look at myself in the mirror again it is like I have younger awake eyes. The excessive puffiness is gone and the dark circles are erased. This is a product I will buy again once it runs out. If I find that my eyes are particularly extra puffy I just use another drop to get my desired results. Usually however I only need one drop per eye now that I have been using it regularly. On the weekends when I get a bit lazy I notice that my eyes are not as puffy nor as dark as they used to be. Ditch all of the I am not sure if they are working under eye products and switch to this instead.
  2. First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy – This was a game changer product for me before I tried the Deciem oil. The product is supposed to brighten, depuff and smooth. While I think it does all of these things I find it less powerful in the depuff area than the deciem product. It is however one of those products that I wonder why I don’t use every day because my eyes do look smoother and brighter when I do use it. I don’t regularly use makeup so this is an extra step but I really do like my look better when I do use it. If you are like me and don’t really wear makeup except for events you can use this on its own. Just remember to blend it in and don’t use too much product. Also if you are going to do a full makeup look you can layer a heavier concealer over top.
  3. Rodial Dragons Blood Eye Mask – I quite like Rodial products. I have used them on and off for years. This face gel cream is divine. However I usually only buy them when I can get them on sale or as part of some Christmas value set. I stumbled upon their eye masks and decided to give them a try because they looked like what the celebs use to get ready for awards shows. Basically these are what you would expect a curved mask to target all the under eye issues. When I used them I noticed a big decrease in puffiness and I felt super moisturized and the skin felt firmer. The issue is you have to leave the mask on for 20 – 30 minutes. Unlike the Deciem oil you can’t really leave the house with an eye mask on so these are only good for when you have lots of time to get ready and primp. I have a stash on hand for when I travel and for events.
  4. Cucumbers – this is one of those home remedys that really works. But much like the eye masks you need time to lay down and do nothing but depuff.
  5. Concealer – So what happens when you still after all these treatments you want to touch up your under eye area? Slap on the concealer. Now you won’t need so much and you will be pleasantly surprised how well it seems to work because all the other treatments have given you a head start. I feel like finding a concealer is really personal but I like this one as it is really brightening and this one as well for colour correction.
