The catalog is here and these are my picks

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale catalog dropped last week and I have gone through to find some of the things that I want to keep an eye on when the sale arrives in a few weeks. The catalog is only a taste of what will be available. I always seem to find way more when the sale goes live. Still the catalog is where to start planning the Nordstrom Anniversary Wish list.

Coats - to me coats are always some of the best of Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Last year I found a whole bunch of gorgeous wrap coats. This year it seems to be menswear inspired coats that are filling up the catalog.

1. Wrap Trench - This coat is so classic. Pick the grey or camel for a traditonal look but there is a lovely lavender if you want something a bit more funky.
2. Oversized Midi Coat - How cool is this coat? The cool seventies corduroy has a retro vibe but the cut is totally modern. The colour is totally perfect too for fall.
3. Boiled wool topcoat - This is one of my top picks for the Nordstrom sale. I love the colour. Not just the red. There is a gorgeous mustard and a royal blue.
4. Double breasted plaid coat - Plaid is still going to be huge this fall. This plaid was all the rage last year in blazers but I think this trend will continue for at least one more year. Especially since this menswear thing is going to continue as well.

Shoes - shoes and boots are another way to take advantage of the Nordstrom anniversary sale. Especially winter boots!

1. Classic Cortez - a fun fashion sneaker is always a great buy. Perfect for sight seeing or weekend grocery runs.
2. Sperry Shearwater boots - I have a pair of these boots and they are great for early winter and any time you are dealing with slush. However they aren't the warmest on truly cold days. I think if you live somewhere the winters are mild or aren't standing around in the cold too much these are great. But they are not a heavy duty winter boot. Still I love the red soles on these.
3. Notched bootie - These boots will go with everything. The heel is a great height to wear on the weekends and that cognac colour is fantastic. These boots would be great tucked into dark skinny jeans.

Underwear - what could be more practical than stocking up new lingerie during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I like something supportive and pretty at the same time. I have heard so many great reviews about these bras. So many Nordstrom sale veterans make sure to add these to cart.

1. Rose dream bra - moulded cups with practical and pretty colour options. Reviews say they are comfortable and fit like a dream. If you like Wacoal brand bras these are also great.
2. Pure Lux underwire - comfortable t-shirt bra with narrower straps. Great practical everyday bra.

I have found much more to like so far in this years sale compared with last year. Looking forward to seeing the full selection. Do you shop this sale?
