Summer Picnic Essentials

The kids are out of school and it is time to get creative with spending time outside. Whether it is a picnic at the park or in the backyard it can be a fun way to have a snack and enjoy the outdoors instead of hiding inside with the AC cranked.

I love the idea of having a cooler built right into a picnic table. It might make setting out dinner more complicated but it sure would make having a party in the back yard one step easier!

If you want to go the more simple old timey route I highly recommend the waterproof blanket. It rolls up so neat and tight making it easy to pack to go to the park and even if you are there before the dew has evaporated you will be same from wet bums.

Even though I don’t expect you to have a photo booth with you at all times but you probably have your cell phone! Make the picnic even more fun with props. Ok I am not sure that I actually think that it will be more fun but I do like fun pictures and these will make for some fun pictures.

Not sure you actually want to go anywhere on a picnic? Send your kids out to play with the felt picnic basket and they will be entertained for a little while at least. Until they want real snacks anyways.
