Pointy Toe Loafers

Over the last few seasons loafers have been coming back. Evolving from the basic preppy-ness of the Penny Loafer, the modern versions come in a variety of colours and materials. Slipper loafers are still super cute and comfortable, but this year I am going with a pointy toe.

1. Hego’s Studded Suede Flat Grey/ Silver

2. Guild patent-leather and snake-effect leather point-toe flats

3. Sophie Leopard Loafer

4. Joella Flat By Franco Sarto, Suede

5. Aerin ‘Iona’ Pointy Toe Flat

6. The Anouck Loafer in Metallic

7. Louise et Cie ‘Danae’ Pointy Toe Loafer Flat

8. The Maud Flat

9. Ann Taylor Ali Exotic Embossed Leather Loafers

Loafers have been my go to flat as the shape of them fits my feet much better than a ballet flat. The super pointy versions allows for a bit more edgy style so they are perfect for the office and off duty weekend style. Plus even though you aren’t wearing a heel the pointed toe elongates your leg and looks great with a wide leg trouser.

This is the perfect update to your basic commuter shoe and it will be one that you won’t want to take off at your desk. In fact these past few weeks back at work I have found myself wearing my flats more than my heels. Where I feel that my flat wardrobe is lacking is a great non basic black like the Ann Taylor option above and a leopard flat to replace ones I have from a few years ago that are worn out. Even though the pointy toe goes in and out of style I think these options look classic enough that I can wear them from seasons to come.

How would you wear the pointed toe loafer? Save it weekend? Or work it at the office?
