Modcloth Uniquely You Challenge

I was contacted by the Modcloth team to be a part of their Uniquely You Challenge which sees many different bloggers from different regions and backgrounds all styling one item from Modcloth. Such a fun idea right?

My challenge this week was the Diagonal Alley (Harry Potter anyone?) coat in black. Totally a classic piece with a twist.

Modcloth is known for their retro inspired dresses, but this coat wasn’t screaming dress to me so I went to look to see what kind of pants they had available. Originally I went with these slim cut polka dot ones (very 50’s no?) and a top. While a cute combo I just couldn’t finish the set. Then I found these tie dye trousers and everything fell into place.

Outfit details: Star sleeved sweater, tie dye trousers, green purse, ankle boots, diagonal alley coat, earrings, hat, sunglasses. ALL MODCLOTH.
