Fall Coat Trends 2013

So it was cool enough yesterday that I actually could start thinking about Fall. Yes I said it – the F word. And I don’t know about you but when I start thinking fall I think about having a great coat.

Now there are a number of Fall coat trends for 2013 that are a continuation and reinterpretation of what we saw last year. Coats with contrast sleeves, boyfriend jackets and coatigans. Other trends aren’t really trends at all just updating classics. Moto jackets (even moto details on non traditional styles), plaids and military styles.

coat trends 2013Find your perfect Fall coat:

1. Felt Detachable Sleeve Military Coat

2. Sequin Sleeve Jacket

3. Literary fur-line Eskimo parka

4. Diane Von Furstenburg Keziah Coat

5. Carven Double Breasted Cocoon Coat

6. Fluffy Boyfriend Coat

7. Mother Of Pearl Check Coat

8. Check Trench Coat

9. ASOS Limited Edition Chunky Coatigan

I am definitely all for a bold coloured coat. I think they really punch up an everyday outfit and you can stand out in a sea of black. But I think I am really eyeing the contrast sleeve styles. There was a tweed & leather coat from Club Monaco last year that I passed on and I can’t wait to see if I can find something similar this year. I know Danier and Mackage had some fabulous options from what I saw on the runway and press previews.

All of these coats look amazing! Love them! I'm also loving the idea of a Bond inspired look for the fall. There's a video about it on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf4dTrTcgN8 and I'm looking forward to rocking my new wardrobe this fall!
