Say goodbye to 5 inch heels; Low Heel Shoes are seeing a resurgence. Of this I am glad because while I wore heels at my corporate job I have been living in variety of low to mid heel boots since … forever.
But Style Stars like Alexa Chung have been out and about in a style of shoes that are likely more popular at the retirement home than with shoe fanatics. Still these 2 inch, stocky heels are extremely wearable and not at all geriatric looking.
Everything from studded, western style booties to metallic loafers, even Christian Louboutin’s come in a low heel.

I can’t even tell you which of the shoes above are my favourites right now. I love the pointy toe on both the metallic and glitter loafers. I like the idea of a tiger print bootie in a sea of leopard print. The blanket detail on the tall boot gives you a reason to buy another pair of brown boots. Even small things like the wider ankle opening on the two-tone booties win me over. Plus ever single pair looks easy to wear even if you have alot of walking involved in your day.
Even Nine West who have been all about super high heels the past 5 years have some gorgeous low heeled pumps, a low wedge and low heeled booties.
