Both my kids have gotten new winter boots this year out of necessity. I picked up a pair simply because they were cool winter boots on sale. I want something warm and stylish that can handle minus thirty. I have always been surprised at influencers sharing their so called winter outfits and wearing sneakers or rainboots as if that is appropriate footwear for snow and frigid temperatures. These are proper snow boots and cool ones at that.
Cool Winter Boots
Top row right to left
- Adidas x Stella McCartney– These have more of a hiking boot look to them. I like the fairly neutral aesthetic with the small hint of purple for fun.
- Sorel Joan of Arctic Next – I have owned many sorel boots. What I like about the NEXT styles is that they are much more lightweight compared to the more tradition version Sorels. These are the pair my daughter has and she needs a size up and has requested the exact same pair. These are gen Zalpha approved.
- Inuikii Classic – Shearling boots are super warm but they aren’t always the most practical. Great when it is really cold and snow is solid. They tend to be less great with melty slushy snow. These are reinforced with leather in areas that tend to leak and stain.
Middle Row Left to Right
- Moon Boot – I feel like these are an it girl boot. Especially on the ski slopes. They look very bulky but also sorta fun? I don’t know I have been intrigued lately. They aren’t crazy expensive either.
- Suede Snow Boots – these are a look for less option. Get a similar look to the shearling options from Inuikii or Marant but not with the same price tag.
- Brown Shearling Ankle Boots – I feel like these look a bit more obscure than the other styles but sometimes that is a good thing. But there is also very limited sizes remaining so they must be popular.
Bottom Row Left to Right
- Sorel Caribou X Cozy Lace up – these are another hiking boot style. What I like about these is the thick sole which protects your toes from the cold.
- Nowles Ankle Boots – limited sizing on these as well because they are SO marked down. There is a hidden wedge heel and they are shearling lined.
- Padded Winter Boots – these are like if a puffer jacket were shoes. Puffer boots.
