Animal sweaters
Ever since I saw this JCREW Hen sweater I have been contemplating the animal sweater trend. No not animal print, this isn't a tiger or leopard print we are talking about but an animal motif, like a dog or a wolf on a sweater.

The thing is this wouldn't be the first time I would have worn a big animal face on a sweater. Oh no, not even close. My mom hand knit my brother and I matching cat face sweaters when I was about 9. While looking back on them now as a Mom myself, I think the pictures are of course super cute but I remember rebelling against that sweater. And that part of me is screaming against this trend. While I think it is cute and quirky. Even chic at times if you consider how Kate Boswoth styled her owl sweater.
Personally if I were to participate in this trend I would try to keep it simple like this deer print or edgy like this in your face tiger face sweater. Still, I just can't get on board.
It's like suddenly an item that would immediately be thrown in Clinton & Stacey's What not to Wear trash can is suddenly cool. Or maybe trendsetters are just rebelling against the "Rules".
What do you think? Are you looking for the perfect animal motif sweater or are you thinking like me this will be over in a moment?

Oh say it ain't SO! I do not want to live thru this trend again!!! I'm old enough to remember it from the first time, lol.
Yes they kindof bring back bad Primary school nightmares really! Personally I don't think it is going to last very long...
I'm with Jo-Lynne! And, don't they say if you were around the first time you shouldn't really go at it again? This is one of those times I will be listening to that!

Stacy London is my cousin and if she even comes close to my silly doggy sweaters or the sheep dressed for winter(based on a kids' book I wrote) that grey streak in her hair is all that's going to be left of her hair. Just kidding- i like unusual sweaters not the fugly Christmas type ones.
