Slow Transition
August is my favourite month of the summer. It is less humid than June or July and you can transition fall pieces into your wardrobe albeit slowly.
August at the cottage is even better for doing this; it is always about 10 - 15 degrees cooler than the city so by the evening warmer clothing is a must.
Outfit details: Brown knit top c/o Freda's, Denim Paige jeans, Sandals Madewell (on sale), Jewellery Stella & Dot.
I picked up this top at Freda's and I thought I would have to wait alot longer to wear it as it is definitely a fall top.
Still I packed it for the cottage hoping for the right weather to pull it out and wear it.
So when my family had a dinner planed for my brother's birthday and it was somewhat cool, this was the first thing I pulled out of my overnight bag.
This top is easily going to be a favourite worn over and over because of the drape. It hides a million sins and is super cozy.
I can envision switching those gladiator sandals for tall boots once I have to give up on sandals in a month or so.

It has been lovely, but supposed to get hot again in a few days. Will have to go back to hot weather clothing!

I'm trying to hold on to summer for as long as possible, but I am guilty of wearing a few Fall pieces. I think mostly because I want to change up my wardrobe a bit, but NOT because I'm ready for Fall! You look so super casual chic (and comfy)! That is such a great sweater for Fall!

oh I am ready to get back to layering. If summer were 20 degrees and I could feel comfortable in jackets then I would be all for it, but when it "feels like 40" I am so over summer.

Well I must say it is summer weather again today but there are leaves starting to turn and I was loving the chance to get some wear out of same fall items!
