Denim Shell Tank Top Trend and how to wear it
Lately all of the cute outfits I see have one thing in common and that is the denim shell tank top trend. I didn't even realize this was a trend to be honest until I started searching for these tops. All of a sudden I realized they were everywhere if I just looked closely.
Denim Shell Tank Top Trend Options
- Denim Shell crop tank top - This is a pretty affordable option. I like that it isn't too structured but it is a bit cropped for my tastes. That said if you are wearing higher waist pieces it shouldn't matter that it is cropped. Canadian link here.
- Denim shell top - this one comes in this lighter wash and a dark wash denim. This one seems a bit more fitted so if you are looking for that boxy crop look this might not be the one.
- Shelly shell tank top - this one comes in a range of denim colours. It also looks like this one is a bit longer and less thick and stiff. I like cute buttons at the back!
- Hailey Denim Top - This is another option with cute buttons at the back, but all the way down. This is a darker wash. If you are lucky to find one this brand had a lighter wash option but it might be only available on resale sites.
- Amiane blouse - this option has buttons too but on the side and stripes. Super cute.
- European Linen cropped tank - ok so this one isn't denim but you get a similar look and if denim isn't a fabric you want to wear in the summer (understandable) this is a good alternative. This one too would work.
So how would I wear it? If you are feeling the dopamine dressing trend I would go with the bright green or stripe pants. The denim shell tones down everything but it is still fun. If you are thinking more coastal Nantucket vibe I would go with the wide leg white pants (on sale!). But every outfit I saw with one of these denim shell tanks was paired with a wider higher waist pant, usually linen for a very relaxed summery vibe. All you would need is your favourite pair of sandals to finish off the look. These are mine right now.
