3 Must Have Winter Coat Styles

So the air is officially cooler and while I haven't started pulling my winter coats out of storage just yet I am taking note of what styles I have and what I don't.

I am always torn between classics like a great pea coat and those with bright bold colours something like the Pink Coat I blogged about earlier this fall.

Still there are 3 styles that marry both a classic silhouette and fun youthful looks. Here are my picks for my must have winter coat styles; the cocoon coat, the parka and the boyfriend style.

2. Just Female Wool Zip Coat (comes in 3 colours & is similar to a popular style that sold out fast last year)

3. Smythe Fur Collar Coat

4. MONKI Parka With Faux Fur Trim Hood

5. Scooter or Later Coat in Olive

6. ASOS Fur Hooded Detachable Lined Parka

7. Mr & Mrs Fur Trimmed Parka

8. Nicholas Felted Wool Full Length Coat

9. Asos Contrast Colour Block Coat

10. Fluffy Boyfriend Coat

So I picked up a cocoon style last winter and I have adapted my fall army coat by layering a fur vest underneath for winter. The style I am really coveting this winter is the boyfriend style that will always look classic and is great for layering over more formal looks. Or just to pair with denim.

Each of these styles has its own place in your closet. The parka is that easy casual coat that will be worn to death. The cocoon coat is a fun alternative to a classic car coat. Plus it is over sized so you can layer up and keep warm without feel like you are busting out of your coat.

And the boyfriend coat. Like I said above it is a great classic looking coat. Because of its longer length it can work with dresses, but because of the menswear feel it looks just as great with trousers or jeans.

What kind of coat are you looking for this winter?

    1. lol I never need new coats either but I like to upgrade some of my older worn out ones in my closet

  1. The cocoon coat is such a cute silhouette! I'm thinking about getting a colored coat this fall... I tend to always buy black coats and it would be fun to try something different!
