What I wore

Yellow Perfect Rainjacket

March has got to be my least favourite month. It has warmed up enough that the snow has melted but is still pretty cold. I mean it was minus 9 this morning! I feel like we are finally going to see the light at the end of the winter tunnel which means we need to be ready for rain.

Now I have a rain coat I like quite a bit (see it here) but the one thing I don’t love about it is the length. So when I saw this one in yellow (it also comes is a soft pink) I had to snap it up.

This perfect rain jacket as it is called covers the tush and cinches at the waist as much or as little as you want. There are multiple pockets which is always important because I always need somewhere to stash my keys.

I layered a vest underneath for added warmth because we are still experiencing single digit temperatures. It did cut the wind really well though. The hood is a good depth. I don’t feel like I am lost in it nor is it too short that I am adjusting it for coverage.

I found this jacket really roomy. I ordered a Large and I personally like the fit. Since it is roomy I like the whole cinched in look. If you wanted a more fitted style you could size down. However if you are layering I would stick to your usual size.

I see this jacket to be worn for early morning walks all spring. Bus pick ups and cottage trips. It is going to be super versatile but the colour makes it feel less sporty and more feminine. I had a brown jacket from the North Face years ago. The lining literally disintegrated. This JCREW version is so much prettier and more me. It is practical and preppy with a twist.
