What to Pack for Aruba

I could really go for a tropical vacation right now. It is winter. We haven’t been anywhere aside from our living room and the grocery store in months. Definitely can’t wait to at the very least plan a trip if not get on a plane and go somewhere. I defintely want to go somewhere new. I have never been to Aruba! If I was leaving tomorrow this is what to pack for Aruba.

What to Pack for Aruba

  1. Strappy Back One Piece – If there is one thing you need to pack for a beach vacation it is a good bathing suit. Loving the strappy detail at the back.
  2. Swingy Tank Dress – I love easy dresses like this to wear over bathing suits during the day. These make you presentable for lunch but are still relaxed and beachy feeling.
  3. Corsica Swimsuit – I never just pack one swimsuit. And Boden makes the best ones. I have tried other popular brands but I still prefer Boden. I bought this exact suit last year in a different colourway but I am loving the green.
  4. Heart Crown Wide Brim Hat – Another must have when I go on a beach vacation is a big wide brim hat. I feel safer from the sun plus it shields your eyes from the sun. I suffered from sun stroke on one holiday and I never want to feel that again.
  5. Clara Beach Slide – Easy on and off sandals are the best for poolside. Or beach side for that matter. Easier to kick the sand out. White slides just scream summer to me. And they go with everything.
  6. Snow drop Dress – One of the things I like about vacation is having an excuse to dress up every night. I always like to pack pretty dresses for the week.
  7. Dawn Linen Maxi Dress – I usually pack 5 dresses for the week. You could probably get away with as few as 3 and as many as 7. I find I tend to want to rewear favourites so I never pack 7 dresses for a week away.
  8. Cotton leaf print Dress – I also like to pack dresses that can have a double life. Something like this dress you can wear with a belt at night for dinner but then wear loose for a day by the pool.
  9. Mineral Sunscreen – I pack all the sunscreen I can find for one of these trips and I still don’t seem to apply it often enough. This Mineral sunscreen is one of our faves.
  10. Women Cateye sunglasses – These are my fave designer dupe sunglasses. They look just as good as the real thing and if you lose them on vacation they were only $20 not over $200.
  11. Beach pants – As much as I love a good beach dress I love the idea of easy pull on beach pants. The cabana stripe also would pair perfectly with a white tee.
  12. Cotton V Neck – These are my favourite tshirts. Pack them to wear on the plane. Pack them for any excursions you might be going on.
  13. Relaxed denim shorts – I would pack these for an excursion day. But also incase you just don’t feel like a dress one day.
  14. E-reader – this is a must for a beach vacation. Or for any plane ride for that matter. Gone are the days where I weigh down my suitcase with novels. Now I just load up the ereader and never run out of things to read.
  15. Pleated knot mules – I always pack one fancier pair of sandals for going out in the evenings. But to be honest I would just as likely wear those white sandals to dinner.
  16. Sidewalk sneakers – I don’t usually pack my sneakers I wear them on the plane. But they also come in handy for any excursions you might go on. I have an older pair of these sneakers and they are SO comfortable.
  17. Cabana Tote – A beach bag is a must. I need something to carry everything from a towel to my ereader to the beach. It also doubles as a carryon for the plane.

I would also pack all my toiletries, pjs and underwear. I also tend to pack an embellished clutch or two to take to dinner. I also pack my own towel. You totally don’t need to do this but I find it easier to find and keep a lounge by the pool if I am using my own towel.
