You guys I have been really struggling with blog content lately. I haven’t done outfit posts in ages. First it was because everyone was in lockdown and even though I take my own photos with a tripod I wasn’t going out unless necessary. I also tend to shy away from outfit posts in summer because it doesn’t feel like a season I am excited about dressing. I shared a bunch of the dresses I have been wearing on repeat earlier in the season (like this and this) but they are all sold out now so I feel like I have little to share outfits wise. With the lockdown I have also been dressing more casually for work. I wore this, this and this today. It was cute but I didn’t photograph it.
I have been reviewing a bunch of items and I think that that will continue until I get into the groove of outfit photos again.
Many of us are shopping less lately. I know I am anyways. I have talked myself out of more things than into them.
Still I have purchased some things recently that I will give a rundown on the Hits and Misses.
Eyelet blouse – I actually ordered a bunch of tops from Old Navy but this is the only one that has showed up so far. I wore this to work today so obviously I like it. It is loose and feels a bit boho. HIT
Corsica Swimsuit – I love Boden swimsuits. The quality is top knotch. This one is no different. I love the contrast colour and that the straps come from the chest instead of the outer shoulders. They stay up so much better! This suit is so flattering. HIT
Sidestroke – Another bathing suit. We have been spending alot of time in the pool during the heatwaves. I like this bathing suit but considering the amount of hype these swimsuits have I don’t think they live up to the hype. They are good yes. The colour blocking is flattering but I think for the price, Boden swimsuits are better. HIT but I would choose the first swimsuit over this one if I had to choose.
Brooklyn Buckle Bag – I think this bag deserves a more in depth review. I do think I got sucked in by the expert styling. But I will get loads of use out of this bag as the colour is fantastic. I do like the bag but I prefer this one from the same company. HIT (but not a home run)
Lots of good finds but nothing out of the park amazing. Although I do find that I warm up to things over time and they become favourites.
This and this are on my radar and the Anniversary sale is coming up so will have to see what Nordstrom is putting on sale for fall this year.
