Over the knee boots; my current obsession

I don’t really need boots. Tall or short. Just ask my husband.

But I don’t own an over the knee pair and I love the look of them. I have just shied away from them because I have a hard time finding tall boots that fit. They tend to work best on long thin legs, as opposed to shorter stubby ones. I find the shaft is too long on most over the knee styles and the circumference isn’t wide enough. Don’t even get me started on pull on only styles.

But in my effort to not go too crazy buying pretty spring florals months before I can wear them I have been obsessing about boots.

Boots by Kelsi Dagger at ShopStyle

These Kelsi Dagger boots are exactly what I am looking for. I love the flat, downtown look of the boot and the sleek almond toe shape.

The snake skin like leather makes them luxurious and pair that with the fact that they are over the knee and I have found a boot that doesn’t resemble anything in my closet.

This style also comes in black which is more what I am leaning towards as my current Frye tall boots are really tough to get on. They are a pull on style and sometimes they make me want to cry. The Kesi Daggar Charmer style has a zipper to ease the getting them on phase.

Even more motivating is the price. I have seen this style on sale for around $200. Beats out Loeffler Randall boots which on sale still run over $400.

Are you saving up for summer or buying something like these boots that will get you through the rest of winter in style??
