Ever since we cut out our cable we started binge watching shows that we had never seen before. We burned through Game of Thones, Scandal, Sons of Anarchy, even Vampire Diaries. Of course after watching Vampire Diaries we picked up on the spin off The Originals.
If you have spend any time watching Vampire Diaries and The Originals you would notice a certain style to all the characters. Davina and Caroline Forbes are known for wearing fit and flare dresses and are the most girly on each of their respective shows. Elena Gilbert is all about the skinny jeans and long sleeve tees (think American Eagle style) but in later seasons when she is attending university has been seen sporting denim shorts and sleeveless blouses elevating her style from more high schooler to coed.
Of all the characters on both of the shows Hayley Marshall of the Originals has the best style. Maybe it is because she seems a bit more grown up because she just had a child or because she stands up for herself amongst the Original family, but Hayley wears outfits I want to recreate myself. She is one part tomboy one part boho and I think her style translates well outside of her character as something we can all incorporate into our off duty style.

Hayley’s outfits on The Originals are made up of three elements; skinny jeans in dark washes, shrunken jackets (everything from leather to denim or blazers) and a boho blouse of some sort.
She always seems to have the jacket sleeves pushed up or rolled up and is usually rocking a killer boot. Every once in a while she will have a cute swingy dress on that mimics the boho feel of the tops she usually wears.
The best places to shop for outfits like Hayley’s on The Originals is free people, Nordstrom’s Juniors section, Anthropologie (although I found the blouses a bit more mature), and forever 21.
