Winter may be still a good month away but the last few weeks of chillier weather had me starting to pull out my wool coats, hats and scarves. Usually I don’t go wearing my puffer coats on repeat until about January but I do use them quite a bit for chilly winter walks and the school pick up run. I decided up upgrade my puffer collection to include a longer length option in a diamond quilted pattern. This Greige Diamond Puffer ticks the boxes.

Lately I have been drawn to the diamond quilted puffers versus the usual horizontal quilting. I think it just give more visual interest.
This coat has a more generous fit than many other puffers I have tried. I can easily layer underneath. I personally don’t feel that I should have sized down however if you want your puffer to fit more snug, size down.
There are no cuffs at the sleeve just an elastic. The zips are silver and the main zipper is two way meaning that you can unzip from the bottom if you want more freedom of movement. The pockets are also zipped which I prefer because if you are going for a long walk you want to make sure your keys are secure.
On the model this puffer looks to be about knee length. Keep that in mind if you are taller. I am average at around 5’4 and it hits me more mid calf.
The neck is a high neck style that would let you get away without using a scarf. Although I always feel warmer with a scarf. Still if you get caught somewhere without one you are totally protected.
This puffer comes in the greige colour I have here and black. Personally I prefer navy to black and it is less harsh to wear. I also love pairing navy and black together. This greige colour is really lovely. I prefer it to a cooler grey or a true beige. They call this brown. I respectfully disagree. That said it does look more brown in their pictures where it definitely reads warmer.
Last thing to note this is a recycled down puffer. Which means there is no virgin down, it is all repurposed. The coat feels very light weight and heavenly. I am ready for a cold snap to wear this more frequently.
