Chic Athleisure Update

I started doing low impact workouts for the first time in years. I have been missing the school run walk which was always guaranteed exercise and a mental break from work. Now both my kids are high schoolers so no more elementary school run! One of the things that motivates to keep on the workout train is cute athletic wear. But I am not actually that sporty so I want something chic. This is my chic athleisure update.

Chic Athleisure Update

Coat: I am hoping to start walking outside again when the snow and ice is more predictably gone. But it will be chilly still in the mornings and evenings. This jacket is sporty but still cute. I love this brand because the details make everything they produce excellent. I like the knit detail at the cuffs and neck on this jacket. And it is reversable.

Sunglasses – I have this pair from the same brand but I really like these oversized almost sunny looking ones. I want to wear fun sunglasses this year.

T-shirt – I am over the sporty tees that are mostly polyester. I would rather just have more of the tees I like to wear in my regular outfits. If it gets sweaty, wash it. No big deal. I actually got this tee for my daughter. I really like the shape of it so I need to get one for myself.

Fanny bag – I have a nylon bag like this that I generally use for when I go walking outside. It is great for when you need to throw your keys and phone somewhere but don’t want to carry too much. This leather version is a huge upgrade.

Active jogger – I have these from the same brand (reviewed here) and they are the best sweatpants I have ever owned. Mostly because they don’t necessarily look as sloppy as usual sweatpants. I have been living in these lately but they are very loose and casual. I like the look of this slightly different style.

Turtleneck sweatshirt – I have this sweatshirt in a different colour (reviewed here). It is great when you want another layer but don’t want to overheat. I like the new colours they have it in like this dark brown and red wine colour.

Running shoes – I am a New Balance girl through and through. I find they fit my feet better than other brands. I like the rainbow detail on these. So fun.

What do you prefer for working out, hiking and walking? Leggings? Sweatpants? Something else?
