Boho Coastal Grandmother

So everybody seems to be talking about the whole coastal grandmother trend. Which truly isn’t a trend so much as it is just about dressing beachy and coastal but more put together. I feel like it is an aesthetic people are more into at the moment since we are doing wider leg pants and linen for summer. If you don’t know what Coastal Grandmother trend is think the Nancy Meyers movie Something’s Gotta Give. Diane Keaton’s character wore a bunch of tonal beachy looks and looked very chic but relaxed. I am putting my own spin on the Coastal Grandmother trend by layering a tie dye kimono over a white tank and beach pants.

I am going to do a full review on the pants. [UPDATE: See review HERE] Short story is that if I order another pair I will size down. There is quite a lot of fabric in the legs which makes the sizing quite generous. They are super soft and comfy though!

I bought the kimono a few months ago now to take on vacation. I had originally thought to pair the kimono with jean shorts but I like the look of it here too. I also got a longer version in a black and tan combo. I am very happy with the quality. Would buy from this seller again. I wish I could order the hats she styles with her kimonos!

The sandals are a pair that I finally caved and bought. At first I thought they were too snug but they are great now, just needed to stretch out a bit. The leather is soft but I don’t think particularly high quality. Just feels different than say these sandals.

This entire outfit is so ridiculously comfortable it is hard to believe that it isn’t just sweats. But it looks much more put together, although not something that would cross over into my office wardrobe.
