What's in store; fall trends at Dixie Outlet Mall

I went out to Dixie Outlet Mall yesterday to see what current trend items I could find at their stores.

Some trends were easier to spot than others but all in all just because Dixie is an outlet mall don't expect it to be behind in fashion.

Faux Fur & Shearling

Faux fur and shearling coats, vest and accents were everywhere. From fur trim on parkas to the shearling coats seen above at Winners. I even saw faux fur shoes at Spring among others. This was by far the most accessible trend.

Capes & Ponchos

Capes and ponchos are another trend that we are seeing alot more of this year. I found the two above at Winners, but also found a faux cape at Labels and ponchos at Fairweather.

Patterned Sweaters

Navajo, buffalo plaid and Canadiana patterns are all the rage in drapey and chunky oversized sweaters. This was another easily accessible trend with the sweaters shown above found at Costa Blanca and others available at Labels, Jean Machine and Winners.

Wide legged Jeans

This was actually the toughest trend to find with many stores still heavy on skinny jean inventory. But I was able to track down some trouser style and seventies inspired wide leg jeans at Jean Machine. Different brands like Silver, Guido & Mary and Second Denim Yoga jeans all came in wider styles (and they are all Canadian!).
