What to wear to a Winter Wedding

what to wear to a winter wedding, asos bardot dress, grey floral dress

I fell in love with this dress from Asos before Christmas. I love the 1950’s style, which was even more appealing at the time since we were binge watching Mad Men. I love the fact that it is grey, the print is just gorgeous. It is just a beautiful option for a Winter Wedding.

I paired it with a coat you saw a lot of on this blog last year, I thought the colour went well as it picks up on some of the colour of the flowers in the print. I paired it with my new ela clutch, which is so much more fabulous than I thought it would be. Considering it is metallic silver, the leather is still buttery soft. Great Canadian made bag.

You could pair this dress with silver pumps or even a soft pink, I went with my navy Jaidens (still on sale!!). Jewel tones go really well with this dress.

If you are unfamiliar with the Asos Midi Prom dress style, there are straps on this dress but they are a bit off the shoulder so you do need to wear a strapless bra. There is also a crinoline under the skirt and the skirt is fully lined. This gives the skirt a fuller party feel.

I think this look is perfect for a guest at a winter wedding. Florals are usually saved for spring but with this grey background this floral dress totally works for the winter months. Ditch the black which is likely your go to for a winter wedding, try something different. Jewel tones, pretty florals and lots of bling.

This is a perfect winter wedding look, or even winter cocktail look. I love that your heels are not open toe! Many people think that to dress-up heels MUST be open toe but in the winter I just think they look silly. These are sexy and weather appropriate, plus, you're right their dark blue jewel tone totally works with that stunning dress and coat.
