I don’t often do posts about home decor here on the blog because while I love our house it isn’t one of those perfectly styled instagram houses. I tend to be messy and that lets others get away with their messiness more easily. I would rather have a lived in comfortable home than one that looks perfect all the time. I have found some things lately that make our home more cozy and more easy to clean.
What I bought and liked lately for the Home
This mango wood cake stand is what I used for my candle display above. I have some mango wood vases from previous years so this candle stand goes perfectly.
When I got the idea for the candle display I wanted to get some electric candles in various sizes. I have other flameless candles around the house but I didn’t want to move what I had so I picked up some new options. This three candle set has kind of an aggressive flicker motion but it makes them more realistic than others. I also got this fat three wicked candle and a pack of these votive size ones.
I bought this in the large and small and I really like the way they look once the candles are on. The ridges kind of blur out the candle making for a soft light.
I started seeing this stuff pop up on British bloggers that I follow. They swore by this cleaning product. I started seeing it pop up in Canada recently and decided to try. This has drastically improved the ease at which I can clean things in the kitchen. Glass stove top is instantly easier to clean. Even baked on grease on pots and pans that I just assumed was never coming off comes off with this.
This is another thing that I was influenced to buy. It seems like it is just a cute scrubby sponge but really the holes in the sponge make it much easier to manipulate. And it does scrub stuff off well without as much effort. I have since tried the Scrub Daddy paste which is pretty similar to the Pink Stuff but I think over all I prefer the Pink Stuff. I think this might be better with grease though. The Scrub Mommy isn’t my favourite as I don’t use the pure sponge side that much.
This bath mop has made cleaning the shower and tub so much easier. As a vertically challenged person reaching to the far side of the tub is a pain. Cleaning the full height of the shower is also not easy. But with this mop I can reach all these places easier with more force.
This is another product I was influenced to buy from influencers off instagram. We had some stains on our carpet that this took out with little effort. It is one of those things though that you could have forever. Although I could have used it frequently when the kids were smaller and spilling on couches regularly.

I love ❤️ the grouping you did with your electric candles. I love mine all over the house ! Your cake stand idea is a new one for me I will definitely try.
