Trench with Red Stripes

This outfit is inspired by Joanna Hillman’s style. Particularly this pin, which when I saw it though it was a totally cute but totally an outfit I could recreate from my closet.

I think Spring might be finally here, even though it is still quite cool. But it means that I have pulled out my trench coat and wider leg jeans.

I love how flattering these Paige jeans are on me, but lets face it wide leg jeans are just not practical in the winter months because you either drag them through the slush or struggle to tuck them into your boots. It just makes more sense to do skinny jeans for the winter. And on rainy days. Still I am glad for the change.

In these photos I am wearing a new (to me at least) lip colour. It is Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid to Matte lip colour in Suedeberry. It is a great orangey red. Lime Crime is known for their out of the box colours (blue, yellow, neons) but these Velvetines liquid lip colours are a bit more main stream.

I love the colour, the vanilla scent, and when it dries matte it feels like you have nothing on your lips. It lasts pretty well, survived a meal without much of a touch up needed.

I do feel like I would have better accuracy if the applicated wasn’t a cheapie gloss applicator but a brush so that you could more easily paint the liquid on your lips. Also in order to layer up you need to wait until it drys which personally I don’t have time for so I usually go with one swipe.
