Summer Dress Fall Jacket

I was out last night checking out the new Paola Navone Collection that just launched at Crate & Barrel. Any excuse to dress up, I put together a black and white look that took a bit of fall and a bit of summer.

It was super hot and humid but as soon as I walked into Yorkdale I knew the jacket was a good idea to combat the air conditioning.

I posted a few pictures from the event on my Instagram feed. The collection has a strong mediterrainian feel but what really stood out for me were all the details. The collection was largely blue and white with pops of red. The items that I loved were the bench that looks like 3 separate chairs. The mint green Ming chair was made in limited quantities but it is an amazing statement piece. I loved the dishes in the Mallorca collection the best. The plates were inspired by seashells and the Tumblers have an amazing milky white rim.

While I wasn't at the event that long I was able to wander around the mall a bit (might as well since I was out there right?). I went into Banana Republic to try on their leopard print pants (which didn't fit me all that well) but also tried on these blue trousers and this fantastic silk skirt. Will have to try to snag some of these items on the 40% off sales Banana throws on Wednesdays.
