Stripes & Silver Loafers

My love affair with stripes is well documented on this blog. Can you believe that before a few years ago I had no stripes in my closet? I blame Clinton & Stacey for that one; I think they might have eliminated stripes from most North American women’s closets during their run on WNTW.

Still I think my new silver pointed toe loafers are going to be repeat offenders here as well. To the point where you will be thinking everyone needs a pair. I apologize right now for an extremely picture heavy post. I try to keep OOTD posts to about 3 pictures except in cases like this where I just couldn’t narrow it down.

Between the stripe trench coat and the silver loafers I just can’t get enough.

After the bitter cold of the past week and all the ice that was everywhere after the Christmas ice storm this weekend’s thaw was kind of great. And messy. And I really didn’t want to get my new shoes all wet and slushy. But of course I wore them anyways!

I will say that if you are able to track down a pair of these JCREW Silver loafers for yourself, size up. They are very narrow and I am a full size larger than my normal size in these. I do have wide feet, still the sales lady said many customers had to go up a size.

How was your weekend? We did a whole bunch of chores but really didn’t go anywhere. I actually feel alot more productive on weekends like this because I get all the things I have been putting off for days and days finished.
