Pairing Black & Blue

black & blue outfit, blue suede shoes, white wayfarersI could have called this post It’s Damn Hot because it has been a hide in the AC kinda week so far. Like I can barely handle wearing a tank and cut offs hot.

But I managed to put this little number together even if I did get a bit of an extra glow from walking down the street to this fence to take pictures.

blue suede shoes, tie waist skirtI was kind of surprised that these blue suede shoes hadn’t made it onto the blog since fashion week. Even though the top and the shoes are different shades of blue I think it works because they are broken up by the skirt making it much less obvious. I will admit the pants and shoe combo in the fashion week post is a much better match.

black and blue outfit, blue suede shoes, white wayfarersOn a totally different note I have a giveaway going on that you can win 2 tickets to go see Mortal Instruments City of Bones. I don’t usually do giveaways that are not related to fashion. This one is loosely as the sponsor of the giveaway is Splat hair colour and you can win a Splat Hair Chalk.

But what really drew me to the giveaway is that I have read almost all of the Mortal Instruments series and think it would be really cool to go to the movie.

The series is a little bit Harry Potter and a little bit Twilight. You follow protagonist Clary Fray as she finds herself immersed in a whole new world where all the stories of Fairies, Vampires, demons and angels are true. I am kind of a sucker for this type of series and this one doesn’t dissapoint.

So if you want to grab two tickets to see the movie which is premiering this August Enter below:
