Ombre Stripe Faux Fur

I finally broke down and bought a faux fur coat. Of course I had plenty of faux fur options from vests, to mits and scarves but I did not have a coat. I love the fact that you can wear them with jeans but they also look fabulous with a dress.

I thought about getting something closer to what real fur would look but I thought this ombre stripe faux fur from Motel was so fun I couldn’t pass it up. If you can’t have fun with faux fur what can you have fun with?!

While faux fur is super warm this coat only has a hook and eye closure at the neck and does not close anywhere else. This makes it a drafty option for blowy wintery days. I might add another hook and eye at the waist to keep it closed a bit more making it more Canadian winter friendly.

I am really loving how this end of season sale purchase turned out. This coat is even more on sale then when I picked it up. Asos shipments always seem to take forever to arrive in Canada!! Especially since my mind has totally switched to planning for spring and an upcoming vacation as opposed to shopping for more winter clothing. Still this coat lived up to all my expectations.
