July Empties

July was a big month for beauty products that I finished. Sharing all the July empties and which ones will be repurchased and which will not.

july empties

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturizer – I picked this up as part of a gift pack around Christmas time and this was my favourite new to me product. I used up the Dragons Blood sculpting gel as it is one of my fave all time moisturizers. The Bee Venom moisturizer is very different from the Dragons Blood sculpting gel. The Bee Venom option is a thick rich moisturizer whereas the Dragons Blood option is more of a light gel. I used the Bee Venom option for night and Dragons Blood moisturizer for day time. These are fantastic products I can recommend but they are expensive. I will probably repurchase when they come as a gift set again as that is when you can get the best value for money.

Tatcha The Water Cream – This cream is my favourite. It is light and leaves my skin feeling not only moisturized but like my skin is improved. It is just such a dreamy product. I love the smell, I love the lightweight feel. I got this as part of a cleansing duo. I wasn’t that impressed with the The Deep Cleanse product but The Water Cream definitely lives up to the hype. Again this product is pricey but it is worth the money. But I haven’t reordered. I keep asking myself why? But the truth is I reordered a different product. I find that the consistency of this product is similar. No it doesn’t have the added effect of the Japanese botanicals that leave my face feeling dreamy. But the product I reordered is more affordable. I can see myself ordering The Water Cream again but maybe for my birthday or Christmas. If you can snag it as a sample DO IT!

BB Prep – I have wrote about this product before. I reorder it all the time. It is the bare minimum for my hair every day. I also reorder this all the time. For curly hair days I am loving this.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Cleaser – I love this product. It is one of the best cleansers I have tried and after I am done squeezing that absolute last drop out of the bottom of the tube it will be promptly be put on the reorder list. I talked about how it is part of the group of products that have changed my skin for the better. I do have the Eradikate tube as well. Which I do like but I prefer the Exfolikate.

Origins Charcoal Mask – I have had this mask for a while. I really need to make masking part of my weekly routine. Usually I mask when my skin feels like it needs a deep cleanse. Or I am needing some me time as masking is pretty relaxing. This one is a charcoal clay mask and it does leave my skin feeling better pulling out excess oil and toxins. I bought this mask which I think I might like even better. It is more tingly and the pink is so much prettier than the grey. Really you could use both of them on different days.

I haven’t been wearing makeup as much as I was in the late winter early spring as once I started getting a bit of a tan I felt like I didn’t need the extra coverage and evening up of my skin tone. Plus the whole makeup melting off in summer thing seems like a waste of time. I do miss playing with is as much. And I have been slacking off my night time routine which I felt more forced to do when I wore makeup regularly. Hopefully I can change my routine again once fall temperatures come back.
