Joe Fresh; a new life for Maple Leaf Gardens

I was in at the new Joe Fresh that has opened above the Loblaws at Maple Leaf Gardens. It was opening day and in addition to covering the store for torontoShopoholic.com I wanted to take advantage of the 20% off they have ALL DAY TODAY.

The Joe store is one of their Studio style stores with only Men’s and Women’s (ie; No Kids clothing). There was a small selection of their sporty clothing and some lounge wear, even less of the accessories and jewelery.

This store is all about the clothing. And shows them off in more of a boutique setting than we get at the Superstore.

Sequin leggings, stripe pencil skirt, faux shearling, super chic

Much of the clothing I had seen before at the Superstore up at Don Mills & Eglinton. But there were a selection of pieces that were new to me, like the pencil skirts, neoprene coats and colour block merino wool sweaters.

Perhaps the perfect non-cheesy Christmas Sweater?

While I noticed some photographers and the CityTV truck was parked outside, inside Joe were regular people getting their shop on, which I loved. It was more about experiencing the store than celebrating it during a cocktail party.

suede wedges I have been lusting after

Even though I will probably continue to do most of my Joe shopping up at the Superstore, it has the kids section after all, I like that this Joe is super centrally located, steps away from College Park and will have some of the higher end runway items that we don’t usually see at the grocery store.

There are going to be more deals at this store to lure you in – discounted sweater etc, but today with 20% off everything is the best time to go in and shop.
