I was lucky to be one of a group of Toronto fashion, style and shopping bloggers who was invited to a lunch at 416 Snack Bar to get a sneak peek at the new April collection from Jewelmint.
If you aren’t familiar with JewelMint it is part of a group of style shopping sites from BeachMint. Each “mint” is aligned with a celebrity and fashion insider. StyleMint brings a line of t-shirts from the Olsen Twins, ShoeMint is well shoes from Rachel Bilson and stylist Nicole Chavez, Jewelmint is designed by Kate Bosworth and stylist Cher Coulter. It’s kind of like those CD of the month clubs from the 1990’s where you pay a certain monthly amount ($29.99 for Jewelmint) and you get a new style item each month. You can opt out of the month if you choose – but you have to remember to log on a do that in the first five days of month.
The big news from JewelMint for April is that they are adding bags to their line up of accessories. The little metal bag above is the first and it is a great party bag that has interchangeable straps.
One of my favourite items from the April collection from JewelMint is this panther cuff. I can totally see it being the focal point of many an arm party for the remainder of 2012. Watch out because this item is going to sell out FAST.
The other item that was high on my must have list from the April collection is this three stone ring. Definitely a statement item perfect for a summer boho look.
The best part about this luncheon was to actually see the quality of the JewelMint items for myself. It is hard to pull the trigger and buy things that you have never seen before. I am notorious for misjudging sizes and quality from an online picture and I can now say that the jewellery is priced appropriately for what you get; fun, trendy jewellery that you will want to wear all the time and won’t fall apart if you do.
