Grey with a hint of pink for the Office

Last week at work I wore a version of this outfit. It was Friday. I was told I could wear something more casual but all I wanted to do was wear these pants.

It is rare to find a high waisted trouser right now. One that isn’t polyester or really a mid-rise. And as much as I am all for a slim crop pant I like variety.

Plus I bought these while I was binge watching Scandal and they just scream Olivia Pope’s style.

I love the tone on tone of the two shades of grey and the floaty blouse with the wide leg  of of the trouser. I prefer tucking in my blouse with a mid-rise or higher pant. I just feel like everything stays where it belongs that way. The pouch is controlled so to speak.

JCREW Hutton Trouser Review

I ordered the Hutton Trouser on a whim and a want for a wide leg trouser with great drape. I had success with another JCREW high waist pant so I felt it was an educated guess that they would work. The Hutton Trouser is unlined which I personally don’t mind. I find much of what they line pants with make the fit a bit awkward among causing issues when washing. But because it is unlined wool there is a texture. I find it quite soft for wool. Plus because the wide leg I really don’t notice any scratchiness. However, if you are sensitive to wool you might want to consider something with a lining.

Unlike some JCREW pants that fit very slim these are roomy with lots of drape. Not that I would suggest to size down. But it is a good style for those on the curvier side.
