Faux Fur for Fall

faux fur vest, fuzzy vest, plaid jcrew shirt, belted vest

Sometimes when I order something online it is just not what I was hoping for but because of the return policies it just doesn’t make sense for me to send it back. Which is why for the most part I don’t shop at these stores. But the right promotion will get me to break my own rules.

This is the case with this vest.

I ordered the faux fur vest from Anthropologie with my Birthday month discount. Usually I would try to track these items down in store but it was an online only item.

So basically the big plus with this vest is the sherpa lining. It is super soft and it basically makes the vest.

The minuses are the quality for the price and the size.

There were only two sizes for this vest a small or the Medium/Large. Unfortunately the Medium/Large is really just a medium. Now a vest doesn’t have to close but something in the way it is cut, the large arm holes, it just doesn’t sit right most of the time. I think if you are a size 8 or smaller it would be a better fit, except that the size of the arm holes might make it awkward for smaller people too.

The quality of the fabric just really didn’t warrant the price. I am glad I got it on sale but really this is maybe a $50-$70 vest not $100 plus but I guess that is the thing with Anthropologie.

Have you ordered something online that was cost prohibitive to return?

Happiness at Mid Life

Sunday 9th of November 2014

I have been lured by online sales before and when I receive it and want to return it. For one reason or another, I sometimes will forget about an item and be stuck with it. I do try to buy things from stores that have user friendly return policy.

Bummer about this vest not being the best quality but it looks cute belted.

Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you this Thursday.

I think if it had of been $50 I would have been happy, it just wasn't worth the $100 price tag. I don't usually feel burned but I wanted to keep it real!

I will usually only order online if I know I can make free, easy returns. At the very least I need the option of a store credit if I can still return for free. But as you said, sometimes l've taken a chance on an order for a specific item and hope that it works out. I've been lucky so far! A return *issue* I had once was that I bought a sweater, didn't wear it for a while and then decided I wanted to return it. Then I was too busy/lazy and it sat in my closet, eventually I put it on and liked it again, talk about fickle!

Lol - I like when I decide I like something down the road. It is almost like you were ahead of yourself when you bought it.

Usually I am the same way. Free returns all the way, but every once in a while I need to learn my lesson.
