Everyday Luxury with Adea

When it comes to wearing blouses more times than not I am pairing them with a camisole. Whether it is battling sheer fabrics or staying warm on a cold winters day, I need to have an array of layering tanks in my drawers.

Some of my white ribbed tanks are just not the right feel for my pretty work blouses. Sometimes a high low mix just doesn’t work.

So when the people behind Adea asked me to try out one of their layering tops I jumped at the chance. I knew that these microfiber tops were exactly what I was looking for to layer under my work clothes. adea reversible camisole, microfiber layering tops

I chose the reversible camisole with wide straps. Just as expected the fabric was silky smooth, extremely lightweight and way more comfortable than even the most basic of cotton tanks.

Per the size chart I picked an XL, but I could have easily fit a Large. I picked the Extra Large due to my bust measurement and it didn’t want something that was too tight through the bust but the Extra Large was quite roomy all over. The fit is definitely gracious. If you are looking for a slim fit I would size down.

The length was also generous. If you are petite do not go for the extra long version of this camisole. I found the regular version to be extra long which is perfect for keeping things tucked in place. I think that you would have to be at least taller than 5’6 to warrant the extra long reversible camisole.

As for the style I like the versatility of having both the v-neck and the round neck. I tend to wear the v-neck side more often as I feel it falls more nicely but the round neck side is more demure as it sits higher on the chest. I toyed with taking pictures of myself in the Adea camisole but I don’t look near as good in my underwear as the model, and showing the top layered under a blouse just doesn’t give you a good idea of what the cami look like, so I stuck with the stock image.

So the question is are these camisoles worth the price? I think they are. For one they wash beautifully. No shrinkage and so far no piling. The fit is seamless under your tops and they compliment a beautiful silk work blouse much more than a cheap cotton tank. On top of all that they are made in Italy & the USA. I believe the breakdown is that the fabric is milled in Italy and the camisoles themselves are made in the USA. Which means you can be confident that everyone involved has been paid reasonably well. This isn’t fast fashion. This is everyday luxury at its best.
