Everlane ReNew Anorak Review

The Everlane ReNew Anorak is made out of recycled polyester fibers making it not just a practical spring jacket but a conscious option at that. This lightweight, water resistent jacket is a flattering a-line cut that works with curves instead of against them. This is my Everlane ReNew Anorak review.

What drew me to the Everlane ReNew Anorak was the shape. The A-line cut is not something you usually see in a sportier styles. I find many adventure brands make things very straight cut and slim. This a-line cut is more flattering especially for curves.

I wore the Everlane ReNew Anorak last week during a rainy day and I can say it is water resistant. The rain just beaded up on the jacket and rolled off. Of course water resistant is not water proof so not sure how this jacket would perform in a deluge but for light constant rain it works well.

The hood is also a great feature for rainy days. It is very deep even before you unsnap the brim.

The material is lightweight which is great since some raincoats can be quite heavy. However I found it could be subject to a bit of static cling. I found myself rearranging the coat when it seemed to stick awkwardly to my body. But that is really the only negative I could find when wearing this jacket.

The Everlane ReNew Anorak is roomy which if you experience colder spring temperatures means you have plenty of room to layer up underneath.

The jacket also snaps up at the neck adding an extra layer of protection.

All in all the Everlane ReNew Anorak is a good purchase if you are looking for a spring jacket that can handle the rain. My kids don’t love this colour but they are also partial to rainbow so I usually just shrug that off. Personally I love this olive colour and so does everyone else since this is the first colour to sell out! Lots of availability in the other shade of green and other colours of the coat.

I didn’t even mention the double zip (handy when it gets warmer) and the easy to snap snaps. I wish the pockets were situated a bit lower on the body but they work nonetheless. I really like the longer length. Short rain jackets means my bum can get wet and no one wants to get into a car and sit on a wet bum!

What do you think of the Everlane ReNew Anorak? Is this coat on your radar?

Yes the hood is a good one too, nice and deep to hide from the rain.
