Earlier this summer we decided where we are going for our fall Europe trip. I was thinking based on where we are going and that we aren’t bringing our kids that I probably don’t need my usual nylon tote with all the pockets. Yes it is ideal for traveling but no it isn’t what I would call chic. I wanted a leather tote but all of mine were quite big and didn’t have any closure. I decided to invest in something slightly smaller that had a zipper closure. This is my Cuyana Medium Carryall Tote review.
Cuyana Medium Carryall Tote Review
The Cuyana Medium Carryall tote is the medium size of four styles of zippered totes. The classic and oversized totes are both larger, the tall structured zippered tote is smaller and narrower but longer. The medium carryall tote has a cross body strap and shorter shoulder straps. Most have gold toned hardware but you can get the black version with silver hardware.
The leather of the medium carryall is the same as the classic tote that I also have. It is a soft pebbled leather. The lack of structure is less noticeable since the size of the bag is smaller and the zipper gives a bit more structure to the bag.
I absolutely love the colour of this bag. It is a taupey grey colour which Cuyana calls stone. It also comes in Caramel and black. Note that the navy and red strap shown is a Clare Viver strap whereas the strap that comes with the bag is in the first picture. I like to switch it up as the colourful straps add a bit of visual interest. Cuyana also sells custom straps that are wider than the ones that come with the bag.
All the ladies who are looking at this as an office bag need to know that you can easily fit a laptop in this bag and have room left over for all your usual purse stuff an a packed lunch.
I have been carrying this bag for work the past month and I love the look of it for the office.
As I said at the beginning of the post I plan on using this bag as my personal item when we fly to Europe in the fall. Since there is only one standard internal pocket I plan on keeping everything organized with pouches like this or this. I will also have my travel makeup bag and other items to survive the 8 hour flight.
I think Cuyana makes gorgeous bags. The Medium Carryall tote is no exception. I love the zip top, the gold hardware and the lovely colour.
