Face Masks are a way of life these days with many municipalities requiring them when you go into shops or offices. You need face masks on an airplane or transit. Pretty much everyone needs a mask or two. My kids will be going back to school this fall as our case loads where we live are quite low. However, the kids are required to wear a mask all day at school. Personally I like to minimize any garbage so cute reusable masks are more my speed than the disposable kind. MOJi Mask – this was the first mask that I fell in love with. Back then they were releasing new styles every night at 10 pm and they sold our FAST. Now you can get the limited edition masks every day and shipping doesn’t take a month. I like the shape of the mask but I would like the elastics to be adjustable. Made in Toronto.
La Girafe Couture – I wanted some masks that weren’t borrowed from my kids. I loved this more classic styles from La Girafe Couture. Cotton outer and flannel on the inside makes for a soft mask. Also the elastics are more stretchy fabric than thin elastic so they are more comfy. I also got the polka dot version. Made in Montreal & free shipping.
Threads Masks – Usually this company makes tights. Now they make masks. These have a much different feel because of the 14% elastic content. They are super stretchy! The same size fits me and my kids. They are not cotton. I find this style to fit really well and is soft on the ears. I like the red trim on the edge and green trim on the other side. Comes in a pack of two. Masks ship from Toronto but are made in Italy.
Arad Canada – This might be my favourite mask. I love the shape, I love the colours. I like that the elastics are adjustable. The fit is great for my face and there is a wire for the nose. There are some really pretty floral options as well. Made in Vancouver & free shipping.
Harry Potter Face Mask – This is one of the first masks I ordered off Etsy. And it is my daughters favourite. She is 11 and the medium size fits well. Adjustable ear straps, cute Harry Potter pattern and soft cotton fabric. They send you a filter with the mask as well. I have worn this mask as well they are super comfortable. Made in Toronto & Free shipping.
Super Hero Mask – this is from the same seller as above. I got this as part of a family set. One medium one large mask. The large fits my husband and the medium is a bit big on my 8 year old but he is a small guy. But this is more comfortable than the smaller kids masks. With the adjustable elastics we can shrink to fit.
I have had some duds. I ordered a set from Mask House. They smelled weird and they don’t fit everyone. Mostly fit men well to be honest. I also ordered the Old Navy kids set but I have mixed feelings about these masks. They fit my 8 year old well. They are small for the 11 year old. Also based on feedback I have had from friends they shrink so watch out! Best for younger kids not tweens and teens.

Kids do wear them pretty willingly which is good. They are going to have to wear them more than many adults soon!
