Best of Sleepwear

I decided that instead of the typical gift guides this year I would share some of my favourites. Things that I have in my closet or from brands I have bought from and have success with before. I wanted to start with PJs because I love getting new pjs at this time of year. There is something about getting cozy that just goes with this season. So I am sharing my first best of post; Best of Sleepwear.

Best of Sleepwear

  1. Cozy housecoat – At this time of year I need some extra warmth. We hibernate under blankets but what if you need to walk around? This is when a fluffy housecoat is perfect. I have linked to an affordable under $50 option, but if you are looking for something more luxe try this.
  2. Modal Henley top – I have had a few of these sets from GAP and they are perfectly lightweight. I can’t do fleece PJS anymore. I find I get too hot in the night. Even flannel is too hot if I wear it top and bottom. I prefer to wear something more lightweight and pull up the blankets and duvets. The modal is a more year round type fabric. I do tend to mix and match sleep bottoms and tops because I find the tops are never long enough but these pass the test. I am loving this dark green stripe as an alternative to red for the Holidays.
  3. Modal Joggers – As I said these are light weight and perfect for sleeping year round. I switch out for a tee in the summer. I also like this cuffed style as I don’t have to worry about pants being too long.
  4. Ribbed Long Sleeve Tee – These are my all time favourite sleep tee. I love them so much I put them in the round up twice. They are soft and relaxed. I size up to an XL in these since the brand is more of a juniors brand. I do have one in a large and it is fine. More true to size if you want to wear it as a top out of the house. I want mine to have more length and be loose and relaxed. I wait for these to go on sale but that doesn’t seem to be an issue as sales pop up all the time.
  5. Cozy Sleep joggers – at the time I am writing this I am wearing these sleep joggers (with the tee from number 4). They are super soft and warm. I fell for the red stripe and the ribbon tie. I got these in a Large and they fit true to size. I would say they are like a really thin fleece. Which I know contradicts what I said in the first block but it is thin not a thick fleece pant.
  6. Ribbed long sleeve t-shirt – still my favorite sleep shirt, just in a different colour. I actually prefer dark colours so if you aren’t wearing a bra it is less obvious.
  7. Pajama Pants – I have two pairs of these pj pants. And to be honest I wear them more like a lounge pant or sweat pant. They are awesome because unlike some sweatpants that are really thick and heavy these are thin. You can sleep in them. Binge watch netflix. Clean the house. They are the type of pant I would put on when I am feeling sick and never take off until I feel better.
  8. Dreamy cotton long sleeve sleep set – I am going to be honest this is the one set I don’t own. I love the print though so it made the cut. It also has rave reviews.
  9. Fuzzy criss cross slippers – I picked up a pair of fuzzy slippers from this retailer last year and they are my faves. If I was buying this year I would get these because they are fabulous!
  10. Thermal PJ top and bottoms – I bought these for the entire family. They come in a men’s set and a girls set. I am not sure why they didn’t make boys but I just ordered a smaller girls set to fit him. I figure if they made it in men’s it is already a unisex style.

If you are buying pjs as gifts this year I know all of these options will be well received. Even if you are just picking up a new pair for yourself for all the cozy weekends to come through the winter season.

Sleepwear/lounge wear are my favourite items of clothing at this time of year. As soon as it is dark I close the curtains and climb into my p.j's - so cosy and comfortable. Thank you for sharing. Regards - Jill stylishatsixty www.stylishatsixty.wordpress.com
