I want floral and a bit of LC style
Ok I admit it! I watched the Hills. And as much as the drama was a bit ridiculous it was fun. Plus everyone on the show was somehow put together better that most 20somethings I know.
And out of that show Lauren Conrad has evolved into a mini style icon. She isn't what I would call a risk taker but she does exude that sunny, pretty California girl look. She always looks age appropriate and put together.
One of the looks that I just adored of hers was this sunny blue floral sundress from Urban Outfitters. UO has nothing remotely close on their racks at the moment, probably because it is the dead of winter. I expect to see more of this style in a month or two. Still this dress would probably run about $50 plus at UO. Other celebrities like Rachel Bilson and Reese Witherspoon have been photographed in similar styles from Madewell but they were well over $100.
So while trolling the internet as I do I found this cute substitute at OLD NAVY! I tried to style it as close to Lauren as possible. I actually like that the dress has more vibrant colour and reads a bit less country than the UO version. It means it is more easily dressed up with a blazer or down with a jean jacket / chambray shirt. What I love about both dresses is the length. I love that they aren't crazy short or unflatteringly long.

Ok so we have seen these dresses last season. So why do I think they are still relevant? Well looking at the Spring 2011 collections (heck even Fall 2011) there is still tons of pattern and colour. I am just waiting for this dress to hit the shelves (and the online store) in Canada.
Do you dig LC's style or is she over rated? Even more are you craving summery style or still into down filled parkas and layers?

What a lovely look! I wish I was heading somewhere warm and sunny with this outfit in tow.
Oh gosh, me too!
I absolutely LOVE LC's style! It's always classic with a bit of the trends mixed in. My only beef is it probably not 100% her style, she probably has a stylist helping her.
true enough, but I guess that goes for most of Hollywood ...
